"Springendes Pferd" and a Scorching Summer

 

Here in Salt Lake City, the summer is hotter than ever with little chance of cooling anytime soon. At least we have air conditioning, good books, and beauty (the painting above). As part of Dark City Underground’s summer slowdown, enjoy this oil on canvas, Springendes Pferd (1913), by German artist, Franz Marc (1880 – 1916). I really dig those colors.
